Below, you can see various projects I am working on, along with a completion bar. Listed beneath each project heading will be a short snippet of text describing what my currently completed steps are along with what next steps I still have to do in the process. Check back frequently for more updates.
Basilisk Book #1 Agent Submissions:
It's hard to believe, but my first novel is prepped to go out into the world on submission voyages to agents and editors. After over four years of writing, beta-reads, revisions, writing classes, and more revisions, it's ready for a submissions blitz. The plan will be to gather a list of fifty agents or so, and get send the novel out with a customized packet to each. Since the novel is finished, I've given myself a 10% completion score on this step. Four years of work has to be worth that much at least, right?
Basilisk Book #2 Rough Draft Writing Progress:
I have completed the outline for this novel as well as about ten chapters or so in rough draft. It's coming along quite nicely and I am excited to share it with my beta readers. The target completion of the rough draft is summer of 2017.
Untitled Urban Fantasy Rough Draft Writing Progress:
I've only just begun this novel, and though I have some rough idea where it's going, I am trying something new and approaching this one with less of an outline than I normally would. For now this one's just a lot of fun. Samael is turning out to be a really fun character to write.
Darkened Doorways Beta-Read Progress:
I completed the rough draft of this novella a few months ago. After leaving it to simmer in the back folders of my laptop for a while, I got it back out and completed a full revision a few weeks ago. In the coming weeks I will be sending this latest story out to beta readers, completing another round of revisions based on feedback, and then it's off to the Writers of the Future contest.
A Blood Stained White Collar Publication Progress:
I am really excited to announce the publication of my novella, starring Calder Halloway - Bank Collections specialist. It is in the beginning stages of preparation for publication. As soon as I get cover art for it, it will be up on Amazon for purchase! Look for this in the spring of 2017!
A Job of Three Parts Rough Draft Progress:
I recently completed the rough draft of this novella - inspired by William Gibson's work, Neuromancer - in May of 2017. It came in at 23,900 words, which makes it too long for the Writers of the Future contest (at least without some serious cutting). I am really excited about this story though. I am going to let this sit for a while and work on other things, then come back for a revision before sending it off for a beta read.
The Judicator Rough Draft Progress:
This novella was inspired by Stephen King's The Gunslinger and I completed the rough draft of it in April of 2017. It finished at 14,864 words, and is currently on the backburner pile for now. I hope to get to a full re-read and revision soon and submit the work to the Writers of the Future contest in the Autumn of 2017.
